David V. Miller has been a School Science Teacher for 25+ years happily educating young minds at 5 high schools and 3 middle schools. His teaching has focused primarily on Biology, General Science, Earth Science and Genetics. Dave received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri and his Masters from Missouri State University in Springfield. He is married and has 2 adult children. Outside of his dedication to teaching, Dave is an active member of Sertoma of Springfield, an organization focused on service to mankind. Dave also spent many years active with Boy Scouting as Assistant Scoutmaster and Den Leader and active with a Cub Scout Pack. “Mr. Miller'' is well known for his classroom filled with over 50 varieties of plants and a number of animals (birds, turtles, snakes, geckos, and more). Students know immediately Mr. Miller is a hands-on Biology teacher. Many of them love to come to his classroom before and after school to visit with the life in the room. It is Dave’s mission to make learning interesting, practical, and fun, to keep students immersed in the learning.
